As Tennessee welcomed large corporations and economic development opportunities into the state, business leaders from across the state recognized the need to establish an organization that would provide an opportunity for peer-to-peer interaction and meaningful dialogue with key decision-makers, including the governor and other state governmental leaders.
To help raise its profile, the University of Tennessee’s Baker School of Public Policy and Public Affairs decided to launch a podcast co-hosted by Tennessee’s two most recent former Governors – Bill Haslam, a Republican, and Phil Bredesen, a Democrat – and tasked SRG with bringing this vision to life.
Representing the Greater Nashville Regional Council and the Middle Tennessee Mayors Caucus, SRG launched a comprehensive government relations and communications strategy to amend the IMPROVE Act to include the local option.
SRG helped CNS Cares reform certain Certificate of Need requirements for home healthcare companies serving Tennesseans with EEOICP eligibility.
