Chris Gobble is a widely respected government affairs professional with deep issue expertise in numerous sectors, from local government and healthcare to business and education. Chris has spent over a decade building strong relationships with key state officials and industry stakeholders, which he uses to help SRG clients navigate complex political challenges and effectively advance meaningful policy solutions. Chris’s lobbying experience includes serving as the legislative and policy director for the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security and senior director of public policy for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. In each of these roles, he worked closely with the Tennessee Governor’s office and the state legislature to develop and implement various public policy initiatives.
- As senior director of public policy for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, Chris helped drive policy changes and facilitate government affairs efforts for 2,000 member businesses representing over 180,000 employees.
- Chris’s work experience has required successfully navigating both state and local government. Complex advocacy campaigns often involve multiple levels of government, and Chris uses this skill set to generate more than one path to success for clients.
- Chris’s public and private sector work has allowed him to engage with Tennessee lawmakers during the 107th – 113th Tennessee General Assemblies.
- Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communications from Lipscomb University.

Grew up in Cleveland, Tennessee and currently lives in Nashville with his wife Sarah.
Served as a board member for the Tennessee Lobbyist Association from 2021-2023.
Chris and his wife, Sarah, have two Golden Retrievers named Maddie and Piper.
Chris is a commercially certified raft guide and enjoys rafting and kayaking on the Ocoee River.
Chris is a huge Braves fan and looks forward to another World Series victory in the near future.
