Zac Ellis is an experienced communications professional with expertise in media relations, corporate communications, reputation management, and executive communications. Zac develops and leads comprehensive public relations initiatives for SRG clients and oversees business development for SRG’s communications practice.
Prior to joining SRG in 2026, Zac held several communications roles at Bridgestone Americas, a global leader in tire and rubber manufacturing, including serving as public relations lead for campaigns focused on Bridgestone’s portfolio of Commercial tire businesses. He worked previously in athletics communications at Vanderbilt University.
- At Bridgestone, Zac oversaw public relations initiatives for the company’s truck & bus radial, off-the-road, agriculture, and retread commercial tire businesses.
- Zac often served as spokesperson for Bridgestone at industry events, representing the company at trade shows such as Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and Technology Maintenance Council (TMC).
- During his time with Vanderbilt University, Zac spearheaded editorial strategy for the Commodores’ website and assisted with media relations efforts for all athletics programs.
- At Vanderbilt, he launched and hosted the athletic department’s first podcast, the Commodore Insider Podcast, which featured interviews with VU coaches and student-athletes.
- Prior to Vanderbilt, Zac covered college sports as a national writer for Sports Illustrated and SI.com, reporting from such events as the SEC Championship and NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
- Zac is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, holding a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.

In his spare time, Zac likes to ride his bike, read, and play in a local basketball league, but his favorite hobby is experimenting with new recipes on the grill – he owns four different types of smokers and grills.
